Elaine Idenden conceived, organized,
and launched the School B.E.L.L.
Project. The BEA donated brand new
copies of The Little Engine That Could
ABC Time, published by Scholastic, Inc.
to the maternity department at CMMC.
The Association's plan is to distribute a
new book to every baby born at Clara
Maass Medical Center to promote early
literacy in the community. Each book
contains a label which reads "A gift
from the teachers and secretaries of the
Belleville Education Association.
Thanks to Elaine the project is up and
running.
